KidLit Creature Week 2016

I have created this piece as my entry to KidLit Creature Week 2016 this year.

It is a bug called BugBug. It lives under your pillow that allows easy and fast access to your dreams. It crawls fast even it has no legs.

Bunny's Discovery

This is my entry to "The 2nd Annual Pretty Much World Famous Illustration Contest for Children's Illustrators" organized by Susanna Leonard Hill. The theme is "DISCOVERY". I have created 6 illustrations making up a discovery story of a bunny.

They were not rendered perfectly due to time constraint.  I hope they bring a smile on your face :-)

SELFISH

For this piece, I intended to play with words.

People like to take pictures when they travel, when they shop, when they eat ... They like to take photos of themselves. These photos are called selfies.

What if a fish takes a picture of itself? A selfie! No, no, no. I want to give it a new definition.

This is a normal chair.  Nothing special.  Well, something speical.  It has a pair of eyes to stare at you!  Haha~!

There seems to have zero relationship between "Cat", "... er ..." and "Pillars".  But you tie them together, amazing they have transformed into "Caterpillars".  Isn't it awesome?

Not only in Rome or Athen, there are in many places many pillars.  They are tall or high, usually you cannot walk on or over them.  But here, yes, you can jump from one to the other to have fun.

Sometimes, when you do not what to say, you just produce some noise.  " ... er ... er ... er ... " simply to let people know that you are still with them in a conversation, awake.

A cat can be not a lovely little kitty.  It can be cunning and naughty.  Like this one!  But it's fine, even little fishes love to play with him.

Few days ago, I drew Rain, and then Bow.  On Day 14, it is a combination of both - Tada! "Rainbow".  Can you see or feel the colours?

#InkTOBER Day13: Skipped

#InkTOBER Day 13: Skipped, because mom was hospitalized.

My mom collapsed at the kitchen.  Fortunately I was there.  Luckily she fell fainted onto the floor where there was no obstacles.  But I heard her head hitting the floor.  Mom passed out completely without consicousness for about a minute.  Did not know where came the courage, I stayed calm.  I called 999 for an ambulance, which arrived with the police swiftly.  Mom regained her consciousness just before the medical personnel were there.  She was then sent and admitted to United Hospital for exam and observation.

Have you ever worn a bow tie ... that big?  Cute or ugly?  Well, just don't pick a pattern to close to that little snail laughing at you!  Haha~!

Do you like rain?  I don't.  But sometimes, you need it.  When it is too hot, when it is too dry, you will love rain.

You do not necessarily need an umbrella though ... let the raind drop on to your face, feel it and enjoy.
